The Prague City Hall wants to buy a building with shops near the Ládví C metro station in an electronic auction with a starting price of CZK 65.5 million. The city councillors approved the deal today, while the deputies will still vote on it. According to public registers, the property is now owned by the company OPZ PLUS, which is in insolvency. The building, which stands on land owned by the capital, houses shops.
On the ground floor there are five separate establishments – a butcher’s shop, a cheap mixed goods (mainly textiles), a branch of the Czech Savings Bank, a bar and a mixed goods (mainly textiles). In the basement of the building there is a car repair shop and facilities for a butcher’s shop.
According to the document, the advantages of the building are its good location near the metro station and its location next to the Ládví shopping centre and the cultural centre. The disadvantages are, on the other hand, neglected maintenance, unfinished reconstruction in the basement and the lack of daylight in the basement. To determine the price, Prague commissioned an expert opinion, which valued the property at approximately CZK 78.8 million.
The city recently bought a former golf complex with a former clubhouse in Klánovický les, for which it paid a starting price of CZK 46.4 million at auction. It plans to use it for leisure activities of children and youth. In the near future, the municipality is also expected to acquire the barracks in Karlín or the building in Hybernská Street in a large-scale exchange of property with the state worth about CZK 1.7 billion.
