According to Romanian builders, from September 2021 to February 2022, price increases for construction materials reached between 60 percent and 80 percent.
The state should intervene on the price of fuel, block the exports of construction materials and start the rehabilitation projects of the buildings, according to the representatives of the Federation of Employers of Construction Companies.
The fourth quarter of 2021 came with a decrease of 10 percent for the construction industry compared to the same period in 2020, the officials of the Federation said, and the number of insolvencies and bankruptcies in the field is higher now even than in 2010, a year that had set a record from this point of view.
