The average price being offered for new flats in Prague rose 12.6 percent from February 2018 to February 2019. That’s the fastest pace of inflation for new units since October 2017, according to figures released by Deloitte. The number of available units as of the end of February grew 8.3 percent to 5,288 over the same period. The most expensive part of Prague to buy new flats in is the first district, where the average price per square meter now stands at CZK 189,600, but Deloitte claims that’s a 14 percent drop since the year before. Prague 10’s offering is just half that of Prague 1, while prices in Prague’s 4th district rose 40 percent year-on-year. The most popular size for new units, according to developers, are 2-bedroom flats (33 percent) followed by single bedroom ones (25 percent).
