18 September 2012

The heavily anticipated privatization process of the Oltchim Ramnicu Valcea plant has been postponed until Thursday, according to Remus Vulpescu, head of Office of State’s Interests and Privatization in Industry (OPSPI).

There are 13 companies interested in the Oltchim deal, which involves the collective sale of a 54.8-percent stake owned by the Romanian state, along with the receivables of two other state-owned companies.

The deal amounts to RON 1.8bn and represent 56 percent of Oltchim’s debt.
