Procurement prices of basic agricultural products in Poland decreased in August by 0.1 percent m-o-m and by 5.1 percent y-o-y, according to Statistics Poland (GUS). In August, procurement prices of most agricultural products decreased when compared to the previous month. The prices of barley, maize and cows’ milk were higher in procurement, while prices of cattle and pigs for slaughter were higher on marketplaces. Marketplace prices for maize were at a level similar to the one recorded in July this year, according to Statistics Poland.
