Prologis has opened a 25,400 sqm BTS facility for BMW Group at Prologis Park Bratislava. Wolfgang Baumann, vice president of Parts Logistics Management at BMW together with Prologis President Ben Bannatyne carried out the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which the mayor of Senec also attended. Tailored to suit the customer’s specific requirements, the distribution facility features LED lighting, temperature control, perimeter lighting, surveillance, IT solutions and a dangerous goods room (ADR). It will serve as a spare parts distribution hub for all of Central Europe. The facility is located in Prologis Park Bratislava, 24 km east of Bratislava’s city center and 2 km from Senec. It currently includes 13 buildings totalling 320,000 sqm of production and distribution space.
