Construction started on the 10th and final warehouse at Prologis Park Bratislava. The new 17,300 sqm warehouse (dubbed DC10B) is 72 percent pre-leased, though it’s not due for completion until the first quarter of 2016. The developer began work on the shed before work had finished on DC9. Pre-lease agreements were signed with the Austrian logistic provider Lagermax (7,000 sqm) and the Slovak online retailer Elektrosped (6,400 sqm).
“This has been a record year of new construction in the Senec area — the highest it has been since 2008 — and Prologis Park Bratislava continues to perform in terms of quality and location,” said Martin Polák, senior vice president and country manager for Prologis Czech Republic and Slovakia. “Given the strong demand from our customers and Prologis’ recent success with speculative developments, we decided to pursue the DC10B extension, which is 72-percent pre-let only weeks after its inception.” Prologis Park Bratislava, the developer’s largest park in the CEE region, will total 320,000 sqm once completed.
