Prolux to pay a record fee for cheating clients

4 June 2012

The Czech Commercial Inspection (ČOI) intends to charge the Prolux Consulting real estate agency a record fee of CZK 5m for improper behavior that damaged the rights of its clients. Czech TV reported that the verdict is not yet valid, as the company has appealed against it. Prolux clients sued Prolux because the company failed to inform them that they would be charged even if their properties were sold by a different agency. The word “exclusive” was not used in the contracts signed between clients and Prolux. Police had been brought in on the case, but they said it is was not a criminal matter and transferred it to ČOI.
