The Italian company Prono 1897, present in Romania through the company ETNS, is launching a residential project on an area of 5 hectares in the town of Covaci, Timiș county. Completion is estimated for the summer of 2024. The new residential complex, Le Villette, for which construction has already begun, includes, in the first phase, 40 duplexes (80 houses). The investment of the project is EUR 10 million.
“We have developed real estate projects in Italy, France and Canada, and Romania is, and continues to be, an important point on our investment list. Romania ranks first among the EU member states in which the largest proportion of the population owns homes. Thus, almost 96 percent of Romanians are owners. Moreover, most Romanians do not live in blocks of flats. About 66 percent of the country’s population lives in houses and only 34 percent of the population lives in apartments. This is one of the reasons for that we chose to build duplexes in an area with huge potential”, said Matteo Corona, general manager of the Prono 1897 company, in Romania.
