According to a survey conducted by the portal Ingatlan.com the house prices have dropped since March by 10-15 percent. Over the past years 30 percent of properties were purchased for investment purposes, especially short-term rentals for tourists visiting Budapest. With the credit moratorium in place the repayment process was delayed till the end of the year, but now many property owners will have to start repaying these mortgages.
