Provident appoints new general director in Romania

Ivo Kalik is the new general director of Provident Financial Romania, the consumer credit provider. He is replacing Russell Johnsen, who headed the local operations for three years and has now become the general director of Provident in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Kalik held several positions at Provident in the last 15 years. He headed the company’s operations in Guadalajara region in Mexico for a number of years. Prior to this, he worked for Provident Czech and headed the company’s expansion in Slovakia, before moving to the UK.

The lending activity of Provident stood at €49m in the first half of this year. Provident has 60 working points in Romania and 700 employees.
