The Management Board of BNP Paribas Bank Polska has approved the amount of the estimated provision for claims under CHF housing loan agreements in Q2 2021 in the total amount of PLN 186.5 million. This means that the carrying amount of the provision as at June 30, 2021 will amount to PLN 458.7 million, the bank said.
The increase in the value of the provision is primarily due to an increase in the number of pending proceedings. As at June 30, 2021, the Bank was the defendant in 1,378 court proceedings, which means an increase in Q2 2021 by 435 cases (436 new proceedings, 1 completed ).
