4 December 2015

The PSA Peugeot Citroën plant in Trnava expects to produce a record number of cars this year: 283,000 cars were completed before the end of November, and a total of 302,000 cars expected to leave the factory in 2015. With the new Citroën model set to launch next year, the manufacturer expects production to reach 360,000 cars by 2018. The manufacturer also plans to invest €80m, out of a total investment budget of €320m, into its Slovak plant. The Trnava plant continues to attract suppliers relocating closer to the PSA factory. Canada’s Magna and Monaco’s Mecaplast are set to relocate close to the plant in the near future. Logistics provider Gefco, meanwhile, plans to expand its capacity for car transport. PSA is also planning to invest into a financial center for Austria, Switzerland and Germany, which will be located at the Trnava plant.
