Public servants are eligible for a compensation payment, worth on average HUF 10,000 -to HUF 18000. The compensation has been agreed to because of the abolishment of their tax credit. Workers working in health care, teaching and the civil service can apply for the compensation until March 19. Along with being heavily criticized by many, the reality for those applying for the compensation are finding the verification process during applications to be highly bureaucratic. Those who have applied can get the payment for January and February as well.
