Poland’s biggest insurer PZU is now targeting the CEE region, expecting to become a leader of the region in the coming year. For the last four years, Andrzej Klesyk, the company’s chief, has been stressing that the expansion is an important component of PZU’s strategy, but only now do those words begin looking like being acted upon. “PZU Lithuania was selected to be responsible for the step,” says Klesyk, saying the international team in charge of the group has led the branch to profitability. This has re-inspired the company to look elsewhere abroad. PZU Lithuania has two months to prepare an expansion strategy for the Estonian and Latvian markets.
