The price of home construction on the Hungarian market increased by 2.5 percent in the second quarter of 2016, compared to the same quarter in 2015, with labor costs rising 4.3 percent and the cost of materials growing by 1.9 percent. The Central Statistical Office reports that the price of homes stagnated from April to June, compared to the same period of 2015. However, it also suggested that assuming the quality of the composition was unchanged from the base period, prices of home have jumped 14.1 percent so far in 2016.
