Quadrum Global and its development partner DeAngelis Diamond of Naples have kicked off construction of a new senior housing community in South Fort Myers, FL. The $95 million project, Avida, is located at 7650 Gladiolus Drive close to Lakes Regional Park on a 32 acre site. The 488,265 sqf community will offer 125 assisted living apartments, 35 memory care apartments and 272 independent living apartments, as well as 28 cottage-style residences. The facility will also feature a bar, private theater, media room, dining hall, a pool and a surface parking garage. Quadrum Global created a separate entity, Quadrum Senior Living Management, to manage the community’s construction and operations. The project is slated for completion in the fall of 2018.
“As demand continues to grow faster than supply over the next decade, we expect senior living communities to be among Quadrum’s core focuses in the United States. Avida will be our first opportunity to bring to life an experience that stands apart from the impersonal offerings that are so common in the industry,” said Seth Schumer, Quadrum’s director of U.S. investments, in prepared remarks.
