Rabobank takes 25% stake at BGŻ

The Polish Treasury sold its remaining 25-percent stake in BGŻ bank to Rabobank this week, in a transaction worth a reported PLN 800m. BGŻ went public on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2011 with an initial share price of PLN 90. The share price has since fallen to roughly PLN 60. Market analysts are now speculating that Rabobank could get PLN 72.5 per share.
The Polish Treasury still has stakes in several banks, including PKO BP, Bank Pocztowy and Bank Ochrony Środowiska.
