Raiffeisen Bank Romania profits rise

Raiffeisen Bank Romania reported a 20.4-percent increase in profits over the first nine months of the year, posting €72m at the end of the third quarter. It boasted €60m in profits over the first nine months last year.

Meanwhile, Raiffeisen Bank Romania’s balance of credit decreased to €4.22bn during the first nine months of the year compared with €4.4bn last year. At the end of last year, the Romanian division reported a credit balance of €4.43bn.
The loans given to companies in September represented 35.3 percent of the division’s total credit balance, down from 37.3 percent in September 2011.

The share of consumer loans in the general balance went up from 60.2 percent to 62 percent over the period, according to a Raiffeisen Bank International report. Customer deposits went up by 1.5 percent from €3.76bn in September 2011 to €3.81bn this year.
