Palm Beach Gardens-based Ram Realty Services has picked up an 8 acre site for the development of a mixed use project in Deerfield Beach. The developer paid $6.6 million for the tract of land and also secured a $29.3 million construction loan from IberiaBank. Plans for the scheme Deerfield Station call for a 226-unit apartment complex along with 7,675 square feet of retail space. Located next to the Deerfield Beach Tri-Rail Station, th property was once slated to become a $180 million retail-and-residential complex with office, parking and hotel components before being auctioned off in 2014. Located West Hillsboro Boulevard and Southwest 12th Avenue, the property was sold by PNC Bank affiliate Bancshares Realty LLC. Ram Realty plans to kick off work in the first quarter of 2018 with a completion date expected in the second quarter of 2019.
