Joyce Development Group is poised to to break ground on a $15m mixed-use scheme on the former 13th hole of the now shuttered Baymeadows Golf Club. The project, Baymeadows Park, will feature a 100-room hotel, 8,000 sq ft of office space and 35,000 sq ft of retail space. National home builder D.R. Horton, meanwhile, has city approval to build as many as 147 houses and 552 townhouses at the Baymeadows property. D.R. Horton is also planning to construct parks and walking trails near the residences and retain some of the open green space at the former golf course. Work is slated to begin in the fall, with completion set for 2020.
