Renovation work of Sofia’s central railway station is set for completion by the end of March.
The rehabilitation project includes the reconstruction of the station’s main entrance building and the modernization of the platforms. A new dispatch center and CCTV station are also being built. In the eastern part of the building a new separated and multifunctional room that can be used for various events was recently decorated. NRIC is overseeing the project, which is being funded under the Operational Transport Program. Renovation work started in April 2014.
