According to KSH-Ingatlan’s rent index the average rent in the capital is approximately EUR 400 per month, which is 15% lower than pre Covid-19. In general rents in Hungary have dropped on average by 5 percent, with prices being so low back in November 2017. According to the main economic expert of Ingatlan.com Laszlo Balogh the prices may drop even further. This is caused by the latest lockdown, and moving all university classes online, as in result of this decision many students will return home, releasing even more properties on to the market.
