A total of 4,061 residential building permits were issued on the Romanian market in September, up 2.3 percent m-o-m and 15.9 percent y-o-y, according to the National Statistics Institute. The majority (57.4 percent) was issued for rural areas.
In the first nine months of the year, 30,047 residential building permits were issued, down 1.6 percent compared to the same period last year. In September, there was a m-o-m increase in the following regions: Bucharest-Ilfov (+322 permits), Centre (+33) and Northeast (+7).
