Residential loans on the Macedonian market increased by 14.5 percent y-o-y in August, according to data published by the country’s central bank. Consumption loans increased by 15.5 percent.
The increase in residential loans was driven by the government’s “Buy a House Buy a Flat” program, according to the bank. Between 2010 and August 2016, the country’s residential loan volume increased by 95 percent.
