Nearly 1,000 permits were issued for residential projects on the Bulgarian market in the first three months of the year, up 3.4 percent y-o-y, according to the National Statistical Institute. However, the figure represents a decrease of 6 percent from the previous quarter.
The residential permits issued in Q1 2016 were for a total of 3,434 units covering 508,473 sqm of space. There were also 43 permits issued for administrative buildings/offices buildings totaling 87,744 sqm of space during the first quarter of the year, while 832 permits were issued for other buildings totaling 497,883 sqm of space.
