Apartment prices in Podgorica have been steadily rising over the last few months, according to data released by local real estate agencies, with units around the capital’s Delta shopping center going for as much as €1,500 per sqm. However, the latest figures from Montenegro’s statistical office MONSTAT paint a different picture. On a national level, the average price of a new residential building in Montenegro in the first quarter of 2019 was €1,024 per sqm, a decrease of 11.9 percent y-o-y and 6.7 percent lower than in the fourth quarter of 2018, according to MONSTAT.
