The loan volume on the Spanish residential market increased by 25.8 percent to 19,272 in August, according to Spain’s central statistics office. While the number of new mortgages dropped slightly in Aragon and Balearics, increases were recorded in the other 15 regions of the country. The biggest increases were posted in La Rioja (65.9 percent), Comunidad Valenciana (58.3 percent), Navarra (36.5 percent) and Madrid (36.1 percent).
