Driftwood Hospitality Management will break ground on the new Residence Inn by Marriott Flagler Station using EB-5 funding. EB-5 projects are funded fully or in part by foreign investors, who pledge between $500,000 and $1 million to secure a U.S. visa. Located at 11500 N.W. 105th St in Miami, the $22.2 million hotel project is slated to open in January 2016. The Driftwood company operates 8,000 rooms over 400 properties across the U.S. and Costa Rica.
