The 12th annual CIJ Awards Poland were held at the Westin Hotel in downtown Warsaw on Oct. 30 by CIJ, Central and Eastern Europe’s leading real estate magazine. The CIJ Awards are aimed at developers, their projects and their service providers in the commercial and residential real estate sector. On the basis of online voting by select CIJ readers and a panel of independent judges, Hoża 55-Yareal Polska was named Residential Luxury Development of the Year.
The project Hoża 55 is a perfect combination of the luxurious and industrial nature of old Warsaw. The pre-war character of the tenement house is defined by fragments of the original façade and factory installations incorporated into the building’s structure which recall the former use of this site.
The construction of Hoża 55, seated at the former Bronze and Silver Factory of Łopieński Brothers, started in July 2011 and was completed in June 2013. The project includes only 62 luxurious, spacious apartments varying in size from 35 to 177 sq.m. The two buildings — the five-floor one accessed from Hoża Street and the six-floor one at the back of the plot — are connected by an internal green patio, visible from the street. Part of the project is a two-level underground garage with 78 parking spaces. Particular attention was paid during the design phase to ensure the high quality of the common areas.
