Customers of Metrostav Development who live in residential project Galerie nad Vltavou in the Prague – Libeň district have to move out until the company deals with faults in the project’s foundations. The developer had planned to start reconstruction work on the buildings today, but it has not yet received approval from all 126 owners. The owners are being offered the option of living in a hotel for the duration of the work, or receiving financial compensation. Reconstruction is expected to take two months. Metrostav also offered to buy the flats back at 120 percent of the price they paid in 2003, but the residents rejected the offer.
