Poland’s retail sales at constant prices fell 1.3 percent y-o-y in June. Compared with May, retail sales increased by 8.4 percent, according to data published by the Central Statistical Office (GUS). Between January and June, retail sales decreased 5.2 percent, against a growth of 6.2 percent in 2019. A drop in sales was recorded in the following groups, according to GUS, with a significant share in total retail sales: solid, liquid and gaseous fuels by 10.9 percent, motor vehicles and motorcycles by 6.4 percent, food and beverages and tobacco products by 5 percent.
