The building was put on sale following the collapse of the company that owned it, L88. The daily reports that two bids were received for the building, but that neither fufilled the conditions of the sale. This tipped the scales in favor of Wedomwill Liberty, whose offer of CZK 2.9bn was part of the reorganization plan for L88.
