Ridge Development plans to build a 182,057 square-foot industrial distribution facility to be named the Airport North Logistics Center. Located on N.W. 87th Ave. in Medley, the new building will feature 32-foot clear ceiling heights, a building depth of 235 feet, 72 trailer drops and 46 dock-high doors. Ridge Development bought the 9.75-acre site for $5.3 million from Langer Holdings Corp. Transwestern Senior Managing Directors Walter Byrd and Ben Eisenberg represented the buyer while Rodney Langer of Investors CRE represented the seller. The building is slated for completion in the summer 2016.
“Demand for sites with the ability to stage trailers and containers on-site in a secure environment is increasing as land sites are absorbed and security requirements of users and U.S. Customs intensify,” Byrd said. “Airport North Logistics Center’s exceptional access to the Palmetto Expressway, Okeechobee Road and the Florida Turnpike will be enhanced once the NW 87th Avenue extension is completed.”
