According to the Ria.com portal Riga has the most luxury properties of any city in the Baltics. The survey defines luxury properties as those with a market price over €200,000. In Riga there were 1,973 apartments and 449 houses for sale above this price. These properties accounted for 20.1 percent of the overall property market. The most expensive apartment and house in the Baltics were also found in Riga, priced at €4 million and €4.9 respectively. In Tallinn, luxury properties made up 8.4 percent of the total market, consisting of 1,311 apartments and 381 homes. The most expensive of these were were being sold at €1.2m (for the apartment) and €2.5m (for the house). Lastly, In Vilnius there were 504 apartments and 469 luxury homes for sale. These properties made up just 4.9 percent of the market. The highest priced-apartment was €1.5 million, while the top-priced could be had for €2.4 million.
