Rigensis bank is poised to enter the Czech market. The bank, based in Latvia, is owned by three Russian bankers, Igor Cyplakov, Alexej Gudaitis and Dmitrij Sokolov, who manage the Russian investment company ICT Group.
Rigensis specializes on private banking for wealthy clients and will compete with J&T bank, Privatbanka, operated by Penta, and Banka PPF owned by Petr Kellner. The Czech National Bank has not yet approved Rigensis’ plans. ICT established Rigensis four years ago.
