18 March 2016

Deglava Real Estate, part of the Rimi Baltic group, is planning to build a 70,000 sqm warehouse and 10,000 sqm administrative complex in Riga. The company, which operates Rimi supermarkets in Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, will invest €75m in the project, according to local news reports. Completion is set for 2018.

“The new investment project is an important step in development of Rimi Baltic and Rimi Latvia as it represents an opportunity for centralization of logistics in the Baltic region,” Rimi Latvia spokeswoman Inga Bite told the Latvian news agency (LETA). “The proportion of centralized deliveries to Lithuania and Estonia via Latvia keeps growing which means that the new project will ensure and support Rimi growth in all Baltic states.”
