Renovated apartments in in Baixa, Chiado and Avenida da Liberdade cost an average of €6,089 per sqm, the highest price (by 18 to 38 percent) of any type of housing in Lisbon. The statistics were one of the primary conclusions of a study by Prim Yield in partnership with SRS Advogados. According to the study, the old town’s historical center is the prime location for apartment renovations, responsible for 67 percent of all apartments now being reconstructed.
