The largest Polish logistics operator opens in the fourth quarter of this year. the first warehouse in the Czech Republic. The demand for comprehensive logistics services is growing on the Czech market, which is why the company chose the south-eastern part of the country for its new location. Brno is the fifth branch of Rohlig Suus Logistics in the Czech republic.
Rohlig Suus Logistics is a comprehensive logistics operator that emphasizes the diversification and development of international business in its strategy. One of the Group’s leading foreign businesses is the Czech company, which recorded a 56% increase in sales last year. Its scope of services includes road, air, sea, rail and 4PL transport. The new investment will allow to expand the portfolio with comprehensive contract logistics services, including, for example, in the case of e-commerce customers – fulfillment, Value Added Services, handling groupage shipments and distribution of shipments to the Czech Republic and neighboring countries.
“The position of the Czech Republic as an important logistics center is constantly growing. The Czech Republic is also Poland’s second key partner in terms of exports and trade in goods. The branch in Brno will increase our operational capabilities and allow us to extend the scope of services, which in the future will significantly increase our network of international and domestic groupage transport as well as contract logistics in this region,” said Jiri Chladek, Managing Director of Rohlig Suus Logistics for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The company has been present on the Czech market since 2018. The new branch will be located in GLP Park Brno Holubice. Brno is characterized by a strategic location – it is a large local business center, perfectly connected with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria. The facility will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2022. The area of the Rohlig Suus Logistics warehouse will be over 8,000 sqm.
Each of the new warehouse facilities of Rohlig Suus Logistics meets the highest environmental protection standards and is BREEAM certified. Photovoltaic panels have been installed on the roofs of the warehouse in Brno, and a special rainwater collection system will allow for its reuse, among others. while taking care of the surrounding greenery. Electric car chargers will be available on the premises. Additionally, the company will introduce forklifts with lithium-ion batteries, not acid batteries, which significantly increases safety for employees and the environment.
The facility in Brno will create new jobs for approx. 30 employees.
