Romania enters partial quarantine

Romanian authorities have adopted new restrictive measures in the context of the Covid 19 pandemic, after the number of infected people has increased alarmingly in recent days. Starting today, the mask becomes mandatory everywhere in the country, schools will have online courses only, and traffic will be restricted during the night. After 11 pm and until 5 am, only people who go to work or have a medical emergency will be able to leave their homes. In this case, the persons will be obliged to have supporting documents, declaration on their own responsibility, handwritten or completed in electronic format, with personal data and the reason for the trip, a service card or a certificate from the employer. In addition, the shops will close at 21.00, and after this time only pharmacies and gas stations will operate. Home deliveries will also be allowed. Markets, fairs, fairgrounds in closed spaces will not be allowed, but open-air markets remain functional, in compliance with sanitary norms. All the measures announced by the Government apply from today and are valid for 30 days.
