Romania’s Social Liberal Union (USL) party won 60.10 percent of the vote in Sunday’s Senate election, according to final results released by the Central Electoral Bureau. USL also grabbed 58.63 percent of the vote in the the Chamber of Deputies election.
Meanwhile, the Right Romania Alliance (ARD) received 16.70 percent in the Senate and 16.50 percent in the Chamber of Deputies election, according to the final results. ARD was followed by the People’s Party-Dan Diaconescu (PP-DD), which won 14.65 percent in the Senate and 13.99 percent in the Chamber of Deputies.
Rounding off the results, the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) took 5.23 percent of the vote in the Senate election and 5.13 percent in the Chamber of Deputies.
