Romania’s trade deficit in the first two months of the year reached EUR 4.58 billion, EUR 1.5 billion higher than in the similar period of 2021, according to data published by the National Institute of Statistics.
In the period under review, exports of goods increased by 23.4 percent compared to the first two months of 2021, to EUR 1.38 billion, while imports increased by 28.9 percent to EUR 1,83 billion.
“Important shares in the structure of exports and imports are held by product groups: transport machinery and equipment and other manufactured products,” the INS report said.
