Romania seeing more foreign investments

After years of decline, foreign direct investments in Romania are on the upswing. The country’s foreign investments totalled €941m during the first eight months of 2012, up 55 percent compared with the same period last year.

This is the first time there has been a significant increase in invested foreign capital since 2008, according to the news server gandul.info.

Romania reported an increase in foreign investments between 2003 and 20006, with revenue reaching €5.183bn in 2004, €5.213bn in 2005 and €9.056bn in 2006. However, foreign investments in Romania fell to €7.25bn the following year and collapsed to €3.48bn in 2009.
