Romanian annual inflation rate fell to 3.1% in March

The annual inflation rate fell to 3.1 percent in March this year, from 3.2 percent in February. The decrease took place in the conditions in which the non-food goods became more expensive by 4.37 percent, the food goods by 1.59 percent, and the services by 2.21 percent, according to the the National Institute of Statistics. The highest prices were recorded since the beginning of the year for electricity (18 percent), oil (5 percent), canned vegetables (6 percent), and at the opposite pole are plane tickets, which became cheaper by 18 percent.

The Romanian budget for 2021 was decided on an economic growth estimated at 4.3 percent, an inflation of 2.5 percent and an exchange rate of RON 4.89 / EUR.
