The Romanian government has earmarked RON 5m to renovate 67 buildings deemed vulnerable to earthquakes. The majority (48) of the buildings are located in Bucharest, with the others located in Campina, Tulcea, Covasna, Constanta, Bacau, Ploiesti, Suceava, Targu Mures.
“In 25 of these these buildings, where 1,069 apartments are located, intervention work will be undertaken, while in 42 buildings (2,108 apartments) technical-economic documentation needs to be developed,” the government said in a statement.
