Prime Minister Mihai Razvan Ungureanu says he’s very concerned about achieving wage recovery for state employees, but admitted that he’s unable to make any promises at the moment. The government cut state salaries by 25 percent in July 2010, but then raised them again by 15 percent last year.
However, the remaining 6 percent necessary for “recovery” is still not in the cards. The prime minister also said the government is intent on the fight against poverty and with helping generate economic development in low-income regions.
