Constanta, Tulcea, Galati, Caras-Severin and Braila are the counties that have the most green energy projects in Romania, according to the news server zf.ro. The five counties have invested more than €2.5bn into these types of projects over the years.
According to the news report, Constanta, which has installed a number of wind turbines, is considered Romania’s greenest county. The news report went on to say that Prahova county is a leader in solar energy projects and lists Alba county as having the most biomass energy projects in the country. Meanwhile, Hunedoara county was lauded for its micro-hydropower stations.
