According to the data provided by the IMAS poll, 64.3 percent of the Romanians will vote for Traian Basescu dismissal on July 29. Only 27.4 percent of the Romanians will vote against Traian Basescu’s dismissal while 8.3 percent responded that they were as yet undecided. According to the poll, 79.8 percent of Romanians intend to vote on July 29 on the impeachment of their president.
The Public Administration minister delegate Victor Paul Dobre has announced that the government will spend approximately RON 95m for the referendum for the president’s dismissal. The money will come from a state budget reserve.
During the first presidential dismissal referendum, in 2007, the government spent RON 60m in asking for the vote.
