The Rompetrol Group was named Romania’s largest exporter of oil products in 2012 by the National Association of Romanian Exporters and Importers (ANEIR). Rompetrol’s total volume of sales on foreign markets exceeded $1.7bn last year, according to a company statement.
Three subsidiaries of The Rompetrol Group were also ranked on the ANEIR exporter list. They include Rompetrol Refining, which took third place, Rompetrol Petrochemicals came in at 69 and Rompetrol Gas was 111th on the list.
The company’s total contribution to the 2012 state budget is expected to exceed $1.2bn, according to Rompetrol.
