The fight for cryptocurrency acceptance is on in Russia, as its Ministry of Finance has come out in favor of its legalization, and regulation. The ministry published a bill it’s sponsoring that would allow the trading of cryptocurrencies through digital exchanges while reducing the risk of fraud and enabling the state to tax such transactions. What it would not allow is the use of Bitcoin to be used as a system of payment. Still, the country’s powerful Central Bank has come out against the legalization of digital exchanges and is expected to fight acceptance of the bill.
